Wahkiakum School District is located in southwest Washington state along the north shore of the mighty Columbia River. The school district is comprised of three schools: Julius A Wendt Elementary School, John C Thomas Middle School and Wahkiakum High School. The communities served by Wahkiakum School District include; Cathlamet, Skamokawa, Puget Island as well as all of the students and families that live in the surrounding valleys and on the hills that make up our beautiful county. Wahkiakum School District typically enrolls between 400 and 500 students from Kindergarten through high school graduation. Our educational opportunities include all of the standard classroom courses as required by the state and we have the added benefit of our ever-developing outdoor facilities and extended campus forests. In addition to core classes, students have ample opportunities to participate in Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Track, Golf, Baseball, Softball, Cross Country, Wrestling, Cheer, Pep Band, Drama, FFA, Robotics, and Knowledge Bowl.
